sir,
can we describe an organization by following definition
"an organization is a structure which was established to achieve set of specific goals"
pasan,
When we give a definition to a certain term (such as organization in this case) we must make sure the definition should comply with the given context. Also it should describe the term sufficiently for that context. That's why during this session I have given two definitions (Technical Microeconomic and Behavioral) on organization which both are correct on different context. But when you have been asked for behavioral definition, giving microeconomic definition is wrong though they both are definitions for organization. Because then you miss the context.
So the final conclusion is this. The definition given by you may be correct if it describes the organization sufficiently for that specific context. But this is not sufficiently describes the organization in our context (Under the Business Fundamentals).
So you can understand the answer is quite subjective. But that is how it is.
