The deadline for group assignment report will be on 10th February, 2016, at 5.00pm. Make sure to handover your reports to science faculty office IT Unit II . We will collect all reports from there on the date of deadline.

General Template of Teams
Team should consist with 6 to 8 members at most. Team must have a team leader. All teams must submit the team information before the given deadline. The information must accompanied with student registration & exam index number. Team leader must specifically be mentioned.

Please be prepare with members ready until you will be informed with deadlines.
Members details can be added as comments to this blog post. Team leader must take that responsibility.

System Study 
Select an organization of your choice and get permission from the relevant authorities of the organization to do a system study. The scope of the study may cover the entire organization or part of the organization which covers reasonable volume and varieties of information flows.

When doing system study , identify the business processes, information flows and IT-Infrastructure. Prepare a group wise report includes following.

• Description of the business processes, information flows and IT-Infrastructure. You may also use relevant models or diagrams to describe.
• Suggest any improvements or new implementations.
• If the suggestion is relevant to databases then propose table structures.
• If the suggestion is related to IT-infrastructure, then the relevant proposal.
• Impacts on organizational culture by introducing the change.

General Rules
The presentation will be only for 20 minutes NO MORE THAN THAT. Additional time takes after 20 minutes will cause reducing marks already obtained. This reduction will be based on the team not on the individual.

For the final presentation at least 90% of the team members must participate and team leader must be at the presentation. Otherwise you will not be allowed to have the presentation. THIS IS A MUST, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Possible Deadlines & Presentation Dates
Each team should publish their team member's names (as mentioned above) before 5th Jan 2016.

Each team should plan to submit their presentation around 5th Feb 2016 - This is only a tentative date. Could be changed not earlier but to a later date.
The presentations could be around 13th Feb 2016 and 14th Feb 2016 - This is only a tentative date. Could be changed not earlier but to a later date.
I will confirm the dates as soon as possible once I received the complete examination schedule.

Group Assignment 2015 - Presentation Schedule

The presentations date was finalized now. It will be on 21st February, 2015. The venue will be notified later but most probably the same venue where we conduct the lectures. You can submit the reports until 17th 18th February, 2015. No later than that. If any of the teams need to change their time slot they can discuss with any other team and swap the slot. It was enough to inform that during the presentation. At the start of the presentation the team leader must handover the presentation order of the group. So please prepare it beforehand.

The time duration for each presentation is strictly limited to 20min. If it goes beyond that limit the team will have reduced marks accordingly.

We need the soft copy of the presentation so please be ready for it.

The Venue will be ITU2. Presentations will be starting at 9.00am.
Please handover your presentations to course coordinators Ravindra Sandakan or Saman Aravinda. The deadline is as mentioned above 17th 18th February, 2015, 5.00PM.

At the presentation date it is enough each team to be there at the venue before 5min scheduled presentation time.
