Group Assignment - 2014

General Template of Teams
Team should consist with 6 to 8 members at most. Team must have a team leader. All teams must submit the team information before the given deadline. The information must accompanied with student registration & exam index number. Team leader must specifically be mentioned.

Please be prepare with members ready until you will be informed with deadlines.
Members details can be added as comments to this blog post. Team leader must take that responsibility.

System Study 
Select an organization of your choice and get permission from the relevant authorities of the organization to do a system study. The scope of the study may cover the entire organization or part of the organization which covers reasonable volume and varieties of information flows.

When doing system study , identify the business processes, information flows and IT-Infrastructure. Prepare a group wise report includes following.

• Description of the business processes, information flows and IT-Infrastructure. You may also use relevant models or diagrams to describe.
• Suggest any improvements or new implementations.
• If the suggestion is relevant to databases then propose table structures.
• If the suggestion is related to IT-infrastructure, then the relevant proposal.
• Impacts on organizational culture by introducing the change.

General Rules
The presentation will be only for 20 minutes NO MORE THAN THAT. Additional time takes after 20 minutes will cause reducing marks already obtained. This reduction will be based on the team not on the individual.

For the final presentation at least 90% of the team members must participate and team leader must be at the presentation. Otherwise you will not be allowed to have the presentation. THIS IS A MUST, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Possible Deadlines & Presentation Dates
Each team should publish their team member's names (as mentioned above) before 31st Jan 2014.

Each team should plan to submit their presentation around 8th Feb 2014 - This is only a tentative date. Could be changed not earlier but to a later date.
The presentations could be around 15th Feb 2014 and 16th Feb 2014 - This is only a tentative date. Could be changed not earlier but to a later date.
I will confirm the dates as soon as possible once I received the complete examination schedule.

Presentation Schedule - 2013 - Final

Presentation Schedule was finalized based on the teams provided. Due to having many teams we have to have the presentations during two days.

All the presentations will be on 12th Saturday and 13th Sunday, January 2013.

Be on time as given in the schedule. The location will be Information Technology Unit II (MIS Lecture Room).

Team leader should hand over the presentation order of members before the session.
IMPORTANT - Make sure to follow the guideline given in previous posts. If any of you take more than 20min to your presentation the whole schedule will be in a jeopardy.

Group Assignment - 2012 - Dead Lines

These are the dead lines for the group assignment.
1. All teams must post their team names before 4th of January 2013.
2. The project reports must be submitted to the science faculty office before 5.00pm on 9th January 2013.
3. Your project presentation will most likely to be fallen on 12th January 2013. I will publish the presentation schedule once all teams were finalized. Keep this date free yourself and if there is a change in this date I will update the post as soon as possible

IMPORTANT - Please plan for these dates from now onward. We cannot give any other dates for none of the above activities.

Final Presentation Schedule 2011

The presentation venue and time is finalized now. The presentation will be on 15th October 2011 at KG hall. Presentations will commence from 9.00am. The schedule is published now. Be on time. As we are running in a very tight plan your cooperation is valued lot.

I would appreciate if every team can bring a laptop with their presentation. Also team leader must make sure that he provide the presentation order (the order of member names the presentation will be carried out).

Deadlines for the assignment

Finally the deadlines for the assignment is as follows. It would be on any days withing October 14,15,16 - 2011. Based on the existing teams the scheduled will be published. Please be prepare with your presentations.
The final report (printed) should be handed over to the science faculty office before 7th October 2011.
